F.U.CK GOD

He put the Tories in
Let you die
Let countless lovers walk on by
Don’t throw knees down to Allah
He just walked into a Kenyan mall
Just dropped a few bombs on Christians
Wailing in hell

F.C.UK GOD

 I’m allowed to blaspheme
You never created
Us to rip anyone in two
But so
Many
Scream
“We do it for you”

David was born in Liverpool in 1964. He left school with nothing, rummaged around various dead end jobs, then back to college and uni. In his 20s he first discovered poetry, starting writing and performing and has done so ever since. I has lived on the Wirral for the past 8 years.

  1. In whom did it create controversy? It describes a perfectly plausible scenario of the truth that dare not speak its name. We live in a tangled web of lies spun by the religious conspirators of wars.

  3. A powerful poem, David. The tight structures and careful choice of a few strong images cut straight to the point and come across with passion. Unfortunately religion brings out the best and the worst in people - there'll always be someone who is quick to criticise a poem/poet that dares to speak-out.
